We all have different reactions when presented with evidence. Some of us glaze over. Some of us ignore it. Some of us take action.

It is hard these days to know what information to trust. We are living in a post-truth world – and it is scary. Watching the confirmation hearing for Robert Francis Kennedy (RFK) Jr. put this point into focus for me. Citing a deeply flawed study, RFK Jr. has resurrected the false association between vaccines and autism and concluded by saying he “just want(s) to follow the science”.  However, he is doing everything but that. In his position of authority, RFK Jr.’s words have profound consequences that we are only starting to see the effect of.

With the dismantling of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), I lost my job and all the work I and thousands of others did to increase evidence-based practices in foreign aid vanished overnight. In the wake of this, I have been trying to put the pieces back together and create a path for what is next. Losing my career to disinformation sparked an idea for me. I can react by creating a space to share ideas, tools, and practical approaches for making our lives more evidence-based.

Together, we can create an Evidence Reaction to the world we find ourselves in. The Evidence Reaction is a place where you can read stories and articles from people striving to create a more evidence-based world. You’ll also find practical tools and approaches to help you apply these ideas in your work and life.

Let’s start the conversation and take action!
